LIPU reserve in Carloforte is located in the Island of San Pietro, 6 km away from the south-western Sardinian coast, and includes all the cliffs that connect Punta Capodolio to Cala Vinagra. The island, formed from volcanic activity, is guarded by the watchful eye of Eleonora’s Falcon that breeds in these cliffs.  LIPU has created the reserve to save this bird of pray from poachers and and every year carries out conservation fieldwork on the site.
